Who we are

Cause Vision (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data you share when applying for a role with us. Questions or requests can be sent to techsupport@cause.vision.

Data we collect

• Identity & contact — name, email address, phone number.
• Professional profile — CV/resume file and its extracted text, LinkedIn/GitHub/portfolio links, answers to application questions, and your motivation statement.
• Process data — interview notes, evaluations, and correspondence created during the hiring process.
• Technical data — IP-derived rate-limiting signals used solely to protect the application form from abuse.

Why we process it

We process your data to evaluate your application, communicate with you during the process, and — only if you opt in — to consider you for future roles (our “talent pool”). The legal bases are taking steps prior to entering an employment contract, and your consent for the talent pool.

AI-assisted screening — advisory only

We use Anthropic's Claude model to produce an advisorysummary and score of how a CV matches the role's requirements. This output is one input among many: it is always reviewed by a human recruiter, and every hiring decision is made by a human, never by the AI. You may object to AI-assisted screening by contacting us at techsupport@cause.vision — your application will then be reviewed without it, with no disadvantage to you.

How long we keep your data

• Standard retention: 6 months after the hiring process for your application concludes.
• Talent pool (opt-in): 24 months, so we can contact you about future roles.

After the applicable period your personal data is automatically anonymized: identifying fields are removed and uploaded files are permanently deleted from storage. We keep only anonymous, aggregate hiring statistics.

Who processes your data

We use a small number of processors to run our hiring systems:

• Cloud hosting and database infrastructure (application data)
• Object storage (encrypted CV files, private bucket)
• Twilio SendGrid (transactional recruitment emails)
• Anthropic (advisory CV screening as described above; data is not used to train models)

Your rights

You can exercise any of these rights at any time by emailing techsupport@cause.vision:

• Access — receive a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Rectification — correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Erasure — have your data deleted/anonymized before the retention deadline.
• Objection — object to specific processing, including AI-assisted screening.

We respond to all requests within 30 days. If you believe we have mishandled your data, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
